Knowing your mountains can sometimes keep you from getting lost!

In the above photo, to the far left is Santaigo Peak, privately owned. It was once rumored that the Hilton hotel chain bought it back in the 60's and was going to build a resort on top of it.

The small dark mountain to the right of Santiago Peak is Black Peak, located in Big Bend Valley, part of Terlingua Ranch. This mountain is the closest to the highway of the three.

The long mountain range is 9 Point Mesa, a 26,000 acre privately owned ranch.

Red Bluff Mountain - This mountain is located Southwest of 9 Pt Mesa and North of the County Road that leads to Terlingua Ranch Lodge.

Cathedral Mountain - This mountain is very visible from Marfa, Alpine & South of Alpine for many miles. Once home of the Brown Ranch, which was a huge "Dude Ranch", and now a privately owned cattle ranch. Descendants from the Brown Family still live at the main ranch which sits nestled in the foothills of Cathedral Mountain.
